Joe Hisaishi – One Summer’s Day

Genre: Classical

As part of the soundtrack of the movie Spirited Away, this classical piece invokes a sense of calmness and serenity. Joe Hisaishi’s playing is flawless and his music brings you to another dimension. One Summer’s Day is an instrumental piece, so its lack of lyrics is perfect for a study session.   


Bon Iver – Skinny Love

Genre: Folk

Chances are you probably heard Birdy’s cover of this song. Bon Iver’s gentle voice accompanied with lively strumming of the guitar (albeit a little deceptive since it masks the melancholic lyrics so well) will have a calming effect on one’s mind. 


Simon and Garfunkel – Scarborough Fair

Arthur Garfunkel and Paul Simon’s lyrics are repetitive and rhyming, but one does not get tired of listening to them. Their voices are accompanied by the simple strumming a single guitar. Immerse yourself in this piece and allow it to remove all traces of anxiety and stress from your mind.

The lo-fi beats are gentle, accompanied by Stephanie Poetri’s melodious voice, would put you in a good mood to study. We definitely love this song 3000.

This song starts off with a nice rhythm and ends with a rather unexpected twist. The repetitive lyrics and beat can allow you to effectively study while listening to it.

This song is from the soundtrack for the high grossing Japanese animation film, Your Name. The deftly played musical ornaments will result in your worries disappearing. Rest assured you will achieve maximum productivity when you immerse yourself in this song. 


PL – Malibu

Genre: Indie

This a calming Korean song with a nice tune. The gentle strumming the guitar complements the singer’s voice perfectly and draws you in. It is easy to forget your troubles when listening to this song.  


Yerin – La La La Love Song

Genre: Jpop, R&B

Yerin’s cover of Toshinobu Kubota’s ‘La La La Love Song’ will provide you with doses of good vibes. The lo-fi esque beat will improve your mood before your exams. Exam anxiety? You won’t know them.
